FIN DE SEMAINE DE RÉUNION DES ANCIENS A ST-JEAN/EX-CADET REUNION WEEKEND IN ST-JEAN

Les 15 et 16 septembre derniers les anciens du Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean ont tenu leur fin de semaine de retrouvailles annuelles.  Plusieurs classes en ont profité pour se rencontrer après de nombreuses années d’éloignement et ont fêté un anniversaire d’entrée ou de graduation.

The week-end started by a golf tournament on the Friday, followed by a TGIF where the class of entry 1956 entered the Old Brigade.  They were almost 40 ex-cadets of that class to parade from the dining room of the Officers’ mess to the ball room, preceded by one of theirs, 5131 Lynn Moffat, who played the pipes.  They were applauded by the other ex-cadets and the evening went on with the roll call and a lot of old memories.

Le samedi après-midi s’est tenue l’assemblée annuelle générale de la Fondation des Anciens du C.M.R., suivie d’une visite au musée du fort Sain-Jean, nouvellement aménagé dans l’ancienne chapelle protestante grâce à la Fondation.

At night, a dinner and dance ended that superb week-end.  There were many on the dancing floor until late at night and promises were exchanged not to stay that long before seeing each other.
